We have so much to be thankfull for.  In 1863 President Abraham Lincoln sent out a proclamation.  Civil war was prevalent throughout the land, yet he spoke of the many ways that God had blessed our nation.  Even during times of punishment for our sins, he is merciful and helps those who call on his name.

This year, our lives are filled with uncertainty.  Money problems, many of us without jobs, or fearfull of losing them, our retirement incomes gone to money heaven.  Yet there are still so many blessings.  We have food on the table, family and friends to share with, and many in the world who need our help, those whom we can share what we do have with.  Let us all remember that justice, mercy, kindness and love are all acts that please God.
